The Role
We are seeking a Finance Analyst to join our friendly team and provide maternity cover over a 12 month period. We offer flexible hybrid working but this role will require you to attend the office 2 days a week.
Based in the Project Management Office, this role will support the business in ensuring our major projects are commercially managed accurately and effectively. This role will require the post holder to work closely with Project Managers, offering specific and general financial support, ensuring compliance with internal standards and reducing commercial risk.
- Collate, prepare and analyse all chargeable time for weekly internal approval and submission to client.
- Data entry ensuring relevant time codes, project fees and commercial fields are up to date and accurate.
- Collation and analysis of weekly submissions of chargeable time into periodic applications for payment for submission to client.
- Reconciliation and validation of applications for payment to Project Management system data.
- Review, assess and prepare staff expenses for inclusion in applications for payment.
- Analysis and reconciliation of client assessments of applications for payment and generation of sales invoice for submission to client.
- Regular review of all contractual financial administration ensuring all data is up to date e.g. rates, dates, tasks, personnel, budgets, POs and client details.
- Any other financial analysis associated with projects for example staff, associates, expenses and equipment.
- Identification, analysis and assessment of financial risks on projects
- Completing timesheets
- Working flexibly and to a consistently high standard.
- Undertaking other reasonable tasks commensurate with this role. Including cover to undertake other roles in the PMO team.
Experience / Skills Required
- Recognised accounting qualification/part qualified desirable.
- Previous experience in project administration
- Good knowledge of project procedures and systems
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Numerate, analytical and creative problem-solving.
- Ability to prioritise conflicting demands, tasks, and deadlines.
- Able to work both collaboratively in a team and independently.

Salary: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
