About the role
Working in our Portfolio & Technical Delivery team is an exciting experience. We are at the heart of new product and roadmap development. Working collaboratively with the product teams, the wider CTO & CIO teams, we bring exciting products to Virgin Media O2.
Key Responsibilities
- As a Senior Project Manager, you are primarily responsible for delivering the projects within CTO & NetEx.
- You will be involved in working across numerous other functional areas, such as IT, Business Operational Support Platforms, UK Operations, Networks and Technology.
- You will have responsibility for groups of projects ranging in size and length.
What We Need from You:
Essential Skills:
- Experience in project delivery, ideally at a Tier 1 telecommunications operator.
- Proven ability to engage at a senior stakeholder level, whilst demonstrating leadership and able to make decisions.
- Proven track record of project delivery, planning, operations, in a business and collaborative environment.
- A good understanding and first-hand experience of the traditional waterfall and agile methodologies used in the industry e.g. MSP, Scrum.
- Knowledge of Telco Networks functions, Information Security standards & best practices.
- Ability to understand organisational designs and structures, whilst understanding how to relate these to projects.
- Able to build relationships and convey authority in order to resolve conflicts and maintain direction.
- Ideally hold an PRINCE2, APMP, MSP or equivalent qualification.
