The Postdoc Academy (PdA) is looking to appoint a part-time, permanent Centres Assistant to support the efficient administration and delivery of services for the team and three centres.
This is an exciting opportunity to join PdA's small and dynamic team in its eleventh year. Established in 2013, PdA is the lead organisation for postdocs within the University. It provides support to early career researchers through the provision of information, professional development, advocacy at institutional and national levels, and community engagement. PdA offers a range of established programmes and activities, and continues to develop its provision in new and exciting ways through collaboration with other University services and partners.
The Centres Assistant will be part of a small team that ensures the three postdoc centres are effectively managed, including bookings, facilities, on-boarding of visitors to the sites, and general support to the PdA team. The role holder will be required to work across the three sites (Eddington in NW Cambridge, Biomedical Campus at Addenbrookes, 16 Mill Lane in the city centre), as necessary.
The ideal role holder will be confident, a quick learner, an excellent and adaptable communicator, and capable of working in a professional manner with a wide range of stakeholders and visitors. A strong attention to detail, friendly disposition and enthusiasm are attributes that will suit this role and the ethos of the existing team.
