Job Description
Currently looking for Children Support worker.
Band 3 care support staff would be suitable, additional training can/will be provided by the customer. However, the focus must be on supporting the child and their family. Ideally, we would like workers with the following skill set.
- Experience of complex children’s care
- Gastrostomy care and feeding
- Nasogastric tube care and feeding
- Suctioning ( oral, OP/NP)
- Seizure management and the administration of emergency medications ( Buccal and PR)
- Long Term Ventilation (LTV) Invasive and non-invasive
- Observation recording ( including oxygen saturations, respirations, temperature,)
Most clients require 24-hour cover; for night supervisions (Nights is generally a 9-hour shift between 10pm – 7am), and for day shift, support is required within the child’s home and in their education environment. All agency workers must meet framework compliance standards.

- NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)
