We are looking for a very special person who would love to exercise dogs to join our team in Cheddar and the surrounding villages.
You must be reliable, experienced with dogs, flexible and have your own vehicle to transport safely.
You will be working with different breeds of dogs from puppies to adolescents to seniors. Providing solo walks or group walks.
Training and shadowing will be given and our pet carer online training will be carried out through our sister company The Pet Academy as well as first aid training and ongoing CPD training . You will be fully covered by our insurance.
Experience of handling dogs is essential as well as being happy to work in all weathers. You can expect unconditional love from all of the pets you care for.
This job is a part-time, self-employed, casual role with working hours varying but is likely to include hours between 8am and 4pm on weekdays.
Occasionally weekend work is offered.
Applicants must be 21 years or over and be able to provide a clean DBS check.
You must -:
- Looking to be with us on a permanent basis. We do not have any temporary roles available.
- Be comfortable with walking up to four large, strong dogs in a group at a time and in all weathers.
- Be efficient and prompt at communicating with your manager.
- Be able to tailor your service to the special requests of each individual client and their pet.
- Treat each pet as if it were your own ensuring that their welfare needs are met at all times.
- Ensure you follow our safety procedures at all times.
- Pick up and dispose of appropriately all pet waste.
