Salary: AFC Band 5 Annex 21
These payments are subject to change with the new 2023-24 pay scales
Year 1- 65% of the top of band 5 – £21,407.10
Year 2- 70% of the top of band 5 - £23,053.80
Year 3- 75% of the top of band 5 - £24,700.50
We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who wants to become a Physiotherapist. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic about the profession and will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the role of a physiotherapist through experience. For those people who are interested in helping individuals overcome difficulties affected by injury, illness or disability through movement and exercise, education and advice - working across varied specialties with people of all ages, then this is a fantastic opportunity.
The apprenticeship is a 3 year degree level program for a Physiotherapy (Degree Apprenticeship) BSc (Hons) during which you will learn all the skills needed to become a registered Physiotherapist.
We will provide a work placed mentor to provide guidance, support and knowledge in the Physiotherapy profession.
A clean British driving licence is essential as is access to a car with business class insurance.
You will be part of the therapy team learning alongside them in the workplace. The academic and placement component is supported by The University of Huddersfield. The successful applicant would be offered the post subject to being accepted onto the University of Huddersfield Physiotherapy Apprentice degree program. Support to complete this application will be provided.

The services in some areas provide 7 day cover and the successful applicant must therefore be prepared to work weekends and extended days.
Applications will only be considered from people with recent experience working as a Therapy Assistant within an NHS Physiotherapy Service.

Upon qualifying and being registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) you will be given the opportunity to apply for a band 5 Physiotherapy rotational post. Rotational posts offer the opportunity to work in acute, community, intermediate care, respiratory and children’s services.
